Veteran Memorial Markers

 

If you would like to volunteer to assist with the Memorial Markers, please contact Paul Hanson.

 

If you would like a set up a memorial marker for a deceased veteran, you can apply for one at the American Legion during business hours.

 

Criteria:

• Veteran must be Honorably Discharged.
• Individual requesting the marker must be a Lumpkin County Resident/Taxpayer.
• Deceased must have lived in Lumpkin County at one time.

 

What is needed:

• Full name of the Veteran
• Branch of Service
• War/Conflict period in which the Veteran served. (i.e. Gulf War, Vietnam, etc).
• Proof of service such as DD214, Discharge Certificate, Service Certificate, or Separation Record.

 

Costs: A one-time donation of $75.00 is requested for each marker to assist in deferring marker costs.
